The Assertive Communication Style

Assertive communication speakers are more clearly and directly what their opinions are by without hurting listeners. Speakers have set their goal before they say.  They will protect their right and still respect to listeners.  They will allow listeners to choose choices that speakers already made.  Assertive communication speakers will balance between healthy relationships and collaborations.  Assertive communication style creates a respectful environment for mutual long relationship.
 
Non-Verbal Behavior:
-  Friendly voice
-  Comfortable eye contract
-  Welcoming gestures

 Communication Styles
                
                 Communication styles are tools to help people to accomplish in their business.  It is necessary to learning the different communication styles and recognizing which one people use most often in their daily interactions with friends, family and colleagues.  This is essential if we want to develop effective, assertive communication skills. Communication skills are techniques that people have to practice and truly understand how and when should use them.  

Before deciding that people would like to communicate aggressively, they need to have an understanding of what their usual style of communication is. There are five communication styles, and while many of us may use different styles in different situations.

The Five Communication Styles

  • Assertive
  • Aggressive
  • Passive
  • Submissive
  • Manipulative
In a situation, people may use more than one  type of communication styles.  Sufficient communication using is relied on who, what, where, when, and why people are talking.
